Lyrical documentary of a small mountain village in Portugal that lives in its own time amidst changes that shape history. The village has faces some changes over the years. Men have to leave the village for long periods of time because of their stone cutting work. When the men are gone, the women rule this village surrounded by snowy mountains, and sheep and cattle wander on once green fields while dogs protect them from the wolves
